Based in Toronto, Ontario, the Greater Toronto Apartment Association (GTAA) represents the interests of greater Toronto’s most active and concerned firms participating in the multifamily rental housing industry.
In a climate of rapidly changing issues such as realty taxes, municipal fees and charges, property and fire safety standards, inspections and bylaws, waste management and other issues, the organization was established as a municipal association to advocate for the private rental housing industry and to provide a source of vital information, representation and leadership in this sector.
The GTAA now boasts more than 240 property management companies that own and operate in excess of 160,000 apartments units. As well, there are over 140 professional supplier and contractor members in all trade categories.
Our regular meetings with municipalities throughout the GTA, including politicians and officials, provides a voice the industry needs for early warning about new policies, regulations and research reports. The GTAA also engages in effective action campaigns in the media and local communities.
We are the voice for rental housing in the greater Toronto area.
